Flower children, I’m back tonight with a fresh post in our FLOWER EDUCATION series! It’s been a little while since I’ve published a dedicated flower education post — and I thought it was time to switch things up a bit! This post is a hybrid, merging FLOWER and DWELL categories — I’m sharing tips and tricks on How To Unite a Room With Flowers, in addition to the inspiration and details behind the stunning sister arrangements Rebecca Dawn Design created for our Living Room Reveal! I’ve always said that flowers are my not so secret weapon to elevate any celebration or space — I absolutely love to have fresh flowers in our home whenever possible. But today I’m sharing exactly how to select flowers that compliment your space and showcasing a variety of blooms and foliage not yet seen here at JustineCelina!

SPRING 2018 TREND GUIDE | LILAC LOVE

Fashionistas, welcome back for my final TREND GUIDE of Spring 2018 — dedicated to my recent obsession with all things lilac (if you’ve been following along this spring, you probably saw this coming!). It’s been an exceptionally busy couple of weeks (I’ll be sharing some fun projects I’ve been working on BTS with you soon!), but before the lilacs faded, we managed to pop out to shoot some new style content in my hometown of Strathmore, Alberta. In fact, we squeezed this shoot into the only free hour we had on our way to Brooks to celebrate a birthday — I had to paint my nails at a sequence of red lights on my way out of the city (yes, I was driving!). All things considered, I love the way these images came out!

Regardless of current trends (or the season, for that matter!), a beautiful, flowy top (which I love so much I picked it up in 2 other colours and ordered one for my Mom!), skinny jeans, comfortable, low heels, a cute bag and a great pair of shades is what you’ll find me in on most spring weekends or casual days — another one of my go-to outfit formulas that’s ultra wearable, yet polished. But this spring, I’ve updated this classic look with a selection of seasonal trends and fresh accessories including lavender, pleats, fluted sleeves, straw bags, block heels, coin necklaces and pearls! If you want to dip your toes into the lavender trend but aren’t sure where to start, stay tuned for a few tips that will help you integrate this of-the-moment hue into your wardrobe or beauty routine this season — even if you’re not sure it’s a colour you can pull off (because you totally can!). SPACE REFRESH | DINING ROOM, BAR & KITCHEN REVEAL

Happy Monday everyone — and welcome back for the next, highly anticipated reveal in our SPACE REFRESH series! Today, in partnership with HomeSense Canada, I’m elated to unveil the other half of our refreshed main living area — the Dining Room, Bar & Kitchen. While we’ve been refreshing our space since last summer (when we embarked on our huge Paint Transformation!), most of our time was spent gathering inspiration for the Living Room, as we almost completely started from scratch furniture and decor wise over there. Our Living Room took the better part of 6 months to pull together — and during my many HomeSense runs as it came to life (a lot of you came along via Insta Stories!), I also had a vision for the adjacent Dining Room, Bar & Kitchen in mind, picking up items for this space as I curated details for our Living Room. So, relatively speaking, this area came together quite quickly in comparison!

Our Living Room, Dining Room, Bar & Kitchen are all located in the same space — a large, long and somewhat narrow room. So, we kept the overall look and feel as cohesive as possible to unify the separate areas of the room with an overarching design sensibility. We took design cues for our SPACE REFRESH from our developer who was inspired by earth’s natural elements — our space features natural materials and textures with a warm, mid century modern vibe, a touch of boho and an abundance of greenery! Not only are we thrilled with the aesthetic appeal of our refreshed Dining Room, Bar & Kitchen, this space is also very functional for the way we live in it, which I consider the true mark of great design. Today I’m sharing all my tips, tricks and inspiration for designating different areas within one large room, creating and maximizing apartment storage, as well cost effective ways to refresh your space while repurposing your existing furniture (our only new piece in this space is our sideboard — the rest has been with us for years!). SPRING 2018 TREND GUIDE | CHECK YOURSELF

It seems that we skipped spring entirely here in Calgary over the past 2 weeks and went straight from winter to summer — so naturally, I thought it was time to drop my first Spring 2018 TREND GUIDE on you! Admittedly, it’s difficult to keep up with our extremely bipolar climate in Alberta, let alone dress for it. Although we enjoyed many 20 ºC days in late April and early May, over the past few days we’re back to more typical spring weather — May showers included! While I was ecstatic to bust out all my open toed shoes (you can expect a SS18 SHOE GUIDE coming soon!), I also pulled together a few spring looks at the beginning of the season that have been on repeat lately — this is one of them! I never thought I’d see the day where bare legs were an option, but friends, the time has come!

I’m thrilled to bring you my Spring 2018 Trend Guide | Check Yourself — one of my favourite transitional outfit formulas for our Canadian winter-to-spring season, freshened up with a selection of key trends as we move into warmer weather (I can’t even begin to tell you how refreshing it is to not have to shoot in the snow!). Today I’m chatting about how to integrate checks, blush, OTK boots, round sunnies, panama hats and retro colour pairings into your spring style and highlighting my favourite on trend pieces at every price point. OUR LIVING ROOM FURNITURE

Welcome back, interior design lovers — I have a very exciting post for you today! Since publishing our Living Room Reveal (and having it featured and shared across the internet — eee!) I’ve received many questions about our furniture, where we purchased it and how we chose each piece — and I’ve been quietly planning this post behind the scenes!
