CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER AT THE FAIRMONT JASPER PARK LODGE

We’re home from Christmas in November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and tonight I’m recapping our experience! What is Christmas in November, you ask? Basically, it’s a giant meeting of people who love all the same things I love — great food, wine, entertainment and seasonal inspiration. This past weekend we cooked with celebrity chefs, learned about holiday decor from industry experts, came away with tons of culinary inspiration and tasted wine from all over the world. Sounds like a good time, right? Now, imagine that experience set in a charming, rustic lodge, overlooking a serene mountain lake in a picturesque National Park. That, my friends, is what Christmas in November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is all about! I’m sharing every detail of our trip — including the accommodations, the food, and drink, the lodge, the spa, the setting, the sessions, the after parties, who we met and what I wore! OCTOBER BEAUTY FAVOURITES

It was beauty overload here at JustineCelina headquarters last month — in the best way possible! October marked the beginning of my partnership with Sephora Canada and I published my first two posts in a series of six that we’ll be working on together this year. As you can imagine, there was a whole lot of liquid lipstick and fragrance testing going down last month as part of my research for my 5 Liquid Lipsticks to Try This Fall and Autumn / Winter 2016 Fragrance Edit posts (have you read them yet?!). So naturally, most of my October Beauty Favourites are liquid lipsticks and fragrances!

In October I fell in love with three gorgeous liquid lipsticks in fall’s hottest shades — as well as a vampy, demi-matte traditional lipstick. I also gravitated towards two beautiful fragrances and discovered the best liquid black eyeliner I’ve ever tried! As 2020 draws to a close, I’m sharing two fresh playlists for all your NYE listening needs! First up, my December 2020 Soundtrack — a short n’ sweet playlist featuring 37 of my favourite tracks from the month! As usual, you can expect an eclectic melange of genres, artists and sounds airing on the instrumental side that helped me through the pre-holiday hustle in this MONTHLY SOUNDTRACK. MID CENTURY MEETS BOHO HOLIDAY DECOR

Happy holidays, friends! Can you believe we’ve nearly made it to the end of another year? What a year it’s been. Despite everything that’s happened and how different this season looks, it always brings me great joy to prepare our home for the holidays — and tonight I’m thrilled to share our Mid Century Meets Boho Holiday Decor! Even though it will just be the two of us this Christmas, I knew I wanted to keep things fun, fresh and festive this holiday season. This is our third year decorating our recently refreshed inner city Calgary apartment for the holidays — although our holiday decor went up much later than I originally intended, we love the way it came together. In fact, I think this year’s holiday decor may just be my favourite yet! As always, I mixed high, low, old and new to infuse the apartment with Christmas spirit — and today I’m detailing exactly how I pulled it all together!

Whether you’ve been with me here at JustineCelina for years or have just recently joined (welcome!), you’ll know I’m all about finding creative ways to make my favourite pieces feel fresh again — be it in my home or in your wardrobe. That said, given the state of the world (and in light of the current restrictions here in Alberta), I knew didn’t want to rely on having to shop in person for our holiday tree this year. So, instead of purchasing fresh tree as we’ve done in years past, I decided to have some fun with it and ordered a flocked artificial tree — and I adore the effect! Other than our tree and a few small decor pieces, everything else we’ve owned for years. As we live in an apartment with limited storage, it’s simply not practical for us to purchase entirely new decor each season (but to be honest, I don’t think that’s practical for anyone!). EARLY AUTUMN 2020 LOOKBOOK + COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Friends and fashionistas, I’m thrilled to bring some structure and familiarity back to my STYLE content today with this 6 outfit, Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook — my first since April! While 2020 has thrown all semblance of order and routine for a loop, one thing that remains is my love of fall fashion. Each autumn I go into content creation overdrive creating and capturing things that inspire me! And despite life looking quite a bit different than it did this time last year, I was determined to not let COVID put a damper on my personal style. Regardless of the pandemic, dressing up and dressing well allows me to present the best, most confident and truest version of myself to the world — and I simply refused to let my stilettos collect dust for another season! Those of you who’ve been with me for awhile here at JustineCelina will know I theme my content seasonally, as I’m always looking to nature for inspiration — taking cues from the changing landscape to inform both my creative work and my personal style. It felt incredible to reignite my passion for pulling together looks, capturing them beautiful settings and curating them into one my signature, seasonal LOOKBOOKS!

This year we’ve been fortunate to enjoy the warmest fall I can remember — and we shot more seasonal style content than ever before against the backdrop of our beautiful Alberta landscape. We also captured images in both country and city locations (complete with an introduction to my top face mask recommendations and accompanying Community Guidelines), so my Early Autumn 2020 Lookbook features sartorial inspiration for variety of settings! That said, no matter the setting, my wardrobe has become more casual, comfortable and practical than ever this year — and it’s a very welcome shift. The majority of the pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe in 2020 are ultra versatile to suit a variety of occasions — whether I’m working from home, enjoying a quiet evening in or heading out for a (very rare) occasional celebration. Today I’m elated to share my go-to styling tips for extending your summer wardrobe into autumn, innovative layering techniques, favourite retailers, cozy seasonal staple pieces and wearable trends incorporated into 6 relaxed, bohemian inspired looks suitable for a variety of climates.
