If you’re looking for some serenity on this Sunday afternoon you’ve come to the right place! Today’s post is a super relaxed one where I’m sharing my must-haves for natural, airy, summer style. These are the wardrobe staples I truly feel most comfortable in and like to throw on when I’m just chilling out! Whether I’m dressed up or dressed down I’ve always had a major soft spot for light, flowy fabrics and natural textures. I’ve been living in these breezy basics during my time in the prairies this summer — I know I can throw them on when comfort is a must, but so is looking cute and pulled together. I also chat about stepping up my casual shoe game and share my current favourite pair for weekend adventures! Take a break from the hustle of everyday life for a few minutes, pour yourself a cup of tea and come hang out amoung the fields of wheat and trickling streams near my childhood home in rural Alberta!

SUMMER SOLSTICE DINNER PARTY

Summer is officially here and I can’t think of a better reason to pick up a bottle of wine and invite your friends over for dinner! Tonight’s post is a fun and feminine tablescape I created with Rebecca Dawn Design to celebrate the dawn of summer.

Inspired by the merging seasons we’ve combined the blossoming branches of spring with summer’s colourful blooms, accented with aztec textiles, gold accents and of course some rosé — because I can’t be stopped! I’m also sharing my tips for pulling together an eclectic tablescape with budget friendly and thrifted decor, because I believe unique celebrations don’t have to come with an extravagant price tag. Come gather around my dining table and let’s chat summer entertaining!

Summer is in full swing here in Calgary and each season I look forward to updating my wardrobe with a few new pieces! Although I love colour, today’s post is inspired by some new, neutral items I’ve picked up recently that have been on heavy rotation. I’m highlighting my favourite new accessories in a neutral, versatile colour palette and chatting about how I incorporate new pieces into my wardrobe to update old favorites. I also chat pairing a statement lip with neutral outfits to punch them up and add a pop of colour (because you know I can’t get enough purple lips lately)! WHAT TO WEAR TO | SPRING WEDDINGS

Wedding season has arrived! Every year, what to wear to spring weddings is something I’m asked about frequently — so today’s post is another installment in my WHAT TO WEAR TO series. It’s such a popular request, I wrote a post about it last year before I was able photograph my style content! Today I’m chatting about what I’m wearing to spring 2016 weddings when the weather is still a bit unpredictable (FYI, it snowed in Calgary last weekend and it was sprinkling when we photographed this post!). I may be a bit biased because of my love for flowers, but that I think floral print is perfect for spring weddings. It’s colourful and fresh, and there are so many interpretations of it each spring. From soft subdued, to bold and colourful like I’m wearing here, you’re sure to find a print that compliments your personal style. GREY DAYS

We’ve been having quite a few grey, rainy days lately. So, I thought I’d embrace it and show you what I wear on a more casual day when I still want to look cute and pulled together! On cooler spring days I like to feel cozy but also wear lighter colours and layers to keep things fresh and seasonally appropriate. I pretty much live in great basics like skinny jeans, cute flats, classic v-necks and oversized cardigans when I’m keeping things casual. Sometimes I also give my eyes a break from contacts and wear glasses. I picked up a couple of new frames recently, so I thought I’d show you how I style them on a casual day! I also chat about my go-to natural makeup look — it’s perfect for glasses.
