MAY 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Man it feels good to publish this May 2017 Beauty Favourites post! Since I spent a large part of March barefaced due to my finger injury and published my first ever completely makeup free Monthly Beauty Favourites post, this past month I really enjoyed experimenting with makeup again and discovered so many incredible new products. May was packed full of events (both blog related and personal) and I took every available opportunity to get my glam on — so you’ll find a healthy dose of glow and sparkle in my May beauty favourites! There’s range of products at affordable and luxury price points in today’s post — including a stunning rose gold highlighter (for less than $5!), my favourite lipsticks of the entire year, a bargain, go-with-anything nude lipliner, the perfect blush palette for a youthful spring flush, some extremely luxurious eyeshadows, a pastel lilac nail polish with nourishing ingredients and a metallic, glittery liquid eyeshadow!

There’s a strong peach, pink and rose gold theme in my favourites today — what can I say, I’ve been immersing myself in seasonal colour trends in full force! It’s been awhile since we chatted all things beauty, but you remember the drill, right? SPRING / SUMMER 2017 FRAGRANCE EDIT

Welcome back for another installment of my seasonal FRAGRANCE EDIT! This time, I’m sharing my top recommendations for Spring / Summer 2017 — the fragrances I love to wear as we transition into warmer weather and sunshiny days! MARCH 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES + BLOG HOUSEKEEPING

Hey guys — welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! As you may have gathered, the last couple of months have been intense BEAUTY wise here at JustineCelina — I’m elated to continue my partnership with Sephora Canada into 2017 and have been testing products like crazy. I’ve also been testing new drugstore products as well (if you joined me over on Insta Stories one random Friday afternoon last month where I unboxed and gave my first impressions on a ton of new goodies I picked up from Wet n Wild, you know what I’m talking about!). My March 2017 Beauty Favourites are a mixture of new high end obsessions and new drugstore obsessions — there’s something for everyone!

And now, for some blog housekeeping. Back in my New Year, New Goals: Cultivating a Balanced 2017 post, I mentioned a number of things I was investigating to aid me in working smarter this year. I’ve been experimenting with new structures, programs, workflows and tools behind the scenes here at JustineCelina this year — and you’ll see the first of the changes roll out in today’s post (I’m excited to share them with you — but I’m still learning, so it’s a work in progress!). EFFORTLESS TRAVEL STYLE

Hello from Vancouver! It’s been awhile since I’ve traveled outside of Alberta and I’m so thrilled to be exploring this gorgeous city. I actually didn’t plan to publish a dedicated style post for this look, but many of you were interested in what I was wearing when I posted a photo of this outfit on Instagram yesterday — so where we are! While all of the style content you see here at JustineCelina is reflective of my fairly eclectic personal style, I like to keep things interesting, so I showcase a range of looks. Today’s outfit is such an easy one for me to wear and very representative of my everyday style — a simple, no fuss look incorporating some of my favourite wardrobe staples. In fact, I’ve worn every single piece (except my new-ish Zara sweater!) in previous style content.

I take in as much as I can on foot while I’m traveling (I love to discover new things around each corner!), so I do a lot of walking. While comfort and warmth are my first priorities, I also like to look polished and up for anything. Most locals have been complaining about the weather, but it’s -20°C in Calgary, so not having to be totally bundled up and deal with snow sounds pretty good to me right now (it’s been a long winter!). My Effortless Travel Style is achieved by packing a small but cohesive wardrobe full of quality, simple pieces and great accessories that I’m able to combine in unique ways to create a variety of outfits. ALL ABOUT ROSES

Well hello, everyone! It’s been a week since my last blog post — I took the long weekend off from blogging to enjoy some quality rest and relaxation — and it was absolutely fantastic! I headed to the mountains on Saturday for a peaceful drive, a much needed massage at my favourite spa and an incredible meal. I also slept in, caught up on some housework, read a book and generally just enjoyed a slow, semi unplugged weekend without my camera (yep, still working on that balance thing we talked about!) How did you spend your long weekend?

In honour of love month, it’s been All About Roses here at JustineCelina and today we’re reintroducing you to February’s quintessential bloom, the rose. MILITARY INSPIRED

What better time to photograph a style post than during a heavy snowfall / extreme cold warning when you’re snowed in in the country… right?! I headed east to my childhood home in rural Alberta this past weekend and took the snowstorm as a perfect opportunity to shoot this Military Inspired look in the crisp white serenity of the prairies. It was a bit chilly, but these photos made it all worthwhile!

While the most of the world is gearing up for spring, arctic Canadian weather is still alive and well here in Alberta and February can often be our coldest month. As such, I’m a big fan of the statement coat — especially during the winter when your outerwear is your outfit. While I’ve always loved Military Inspired styles (this jacket is about 6 years old!) I was thrilled to see a resurgence of the military trend this winter — and today I’m showing you how to wear it! I’ve paired a classic Military Inspired statement coat with luxe winter accessories in a few of my favourite cold weather textures including faux fur and velvet. I truly believe a well constructed, Military Inspired coat is a timeless piece and a fantastic addition to dress up any winter wardrobe!
