AUTUMN 2016 TREND GUIDE | NEW ROMANTIC

I’m so excited to share the first post in a of a series of AUTUMN 2016 TREND GUIDES here at JustineCelina, where I’m breaking down this seasons biggest trends and showing you how to wear them! I’ve mentioned previously that fall is my favourite time of year for many reasons and fashion in definitely one of them. There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to start anew and refresh my wardrobe to reflect current trends — so today I’m sharing a few of the updates I’ve made and how I like to style my new additions. Today we’re chatting about the new romantic trend and combining 70’s inspired fall florals, waistcoats, rich reds, military greens, statement sleeves, mini bags, velvet, matte lips, chokers, shades of grey, over the knee boots and suede to achieve the look! AUGUST BEAUTY FAVOURITES

If you’re a beauty lover looking for some reading material this long weekend, you’re in luck — it’s August Beauty Favourites time! August was a very experimental month for me beauty-wise because I purged and reorganized my entire makeup collection. Having been a beauty lover for many years before I started blogging I’ve accumulated quite the stash, which has grown exponentially this past year and a half since starting JustineCelina! I’m finding the need to reevaluate what I’m using and loving more often and also determining which products could find a better home. So, I packed up tons of goodies for friends and family and also donated some makeup to a local women’s shelter.

In my reorganizing, I set aside products that hadn’t seen much love recently and experimented with them in August — so I was a bit all over the place in terms of what I used each time I did my makeup. My August Beauty Favourites are a mixture of tried and true products in new colours, along with some brand new ones! Stay tuned for a beautiful, warm red liquid lipstick, a fantastic loose setting powder, some subtly colourful smoky eyeshadows, an inexpensive cream to powder highlighter and a heavenly scented dry shampoo from the drugstore!

JUNE BEAUTY FAVOURITES

What better way to welcome a new month than with some new beauty goodies? My June 2016 Beauty Favourites is a comprehensive review of what I’ve been loving in the beauty department lately — so grab a snack or cup of tea and get comfy! This month I’m chatting about some exciting new brands and products launching at Canadian London Drugs stores, a full coverage, high end foundation, some gorgeous pink lip products, a fantastic drugstore contouring and highlighting kit, a flexible hold hairspray that gives me tons of volume and a gorgeous, universally flattering foiled eyeshadow from Makeup Geek!

I was splitting my time last month between my home in Calgary and my childhood home in rural Alberta, so I’ve really been able to get a handle on some new products that I packed in my makeup bag to test out. MAY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Welcome back for another installment of my Monthly Beauty Favourites posts! Today I’m chatting summer beauty and sharing some of my favourite liquid lipsticks, lip liners, a new brow pencil, a gorgeous baked bronzer, a stunning ombre blush, and my all-time favourite eyeshadow to complete bronze and gold looks.

I placed a Colourpop order in May to test out some of their newer launches, so most of my favourites today are from Colourpop — one of my favourite affordable makeup brands. I also tried some products from the Lise Watier limited edition Summer 2016 Escale Collection and found a great bronzer for the summer! COLOURPOP ULTRA SATIN LIP PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES

You guys, Colourpop did it again! If you’ve been with me for awhile you’ll know how much I love Colourpop Cosmetics — an innovative, affordable, cruelty-free makeup brand hailing from L.A. Last spring when their first line of liquid lipsticks launched, I loved them so much that I did a dedicated review post. And while I do still love the original Ultra Matte Lips, the liquid lipstick world has blown up over the last year — formulas have been perfected, colour ranges have expanded, and brands are really listening to what consumers are looking for. So, when I heard Colourpop launched an Ultra Satin Lip formula that was supposed to by less drying, you know I had to try it out! APRIL BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Hey guys! It seems like forever since my last monthly beauty favourites post, doesn’t it? It’s a few days later than usual because I bumped it back to coordinate with my In Search of Yummyness In The Kitchen With interview, so today I’m excited to share my April Beauty Favourites with you! Like last month, I gravitated towards cooler purple tones on the eyes and peaches and corals on the lips. It was an especially busy month and I tend to fall back on my favourite formulas when I don’t have time to search out and test new products!

This month I fell in love with a stunning neon-purple eyeshadow, a gorgeous peach lipstick, an array of peach and coral glosses, an affordable new setting spray, and a new dry shampoo from my favourite brand.
