PANTONE 2019 COLOUR OF THE YEAR INSPIRATION | LIVING CORAL

Happy love day, friends! This year, I’m putting a PANTONE 2019 Colour of the Year spin on Valentine’s celebrations with a warm, pink-hued introduction to all things Living Coral! By now, you’ve likely heard about 2019’s hottest hue — either here at JustineCelina, or elsewhere online. As a creative professional, I’ve followed PANTONE (the global colour authority for creative industries) for inspiration my entire career. In fact, I even have a section dedicated to them here on the blog to categorize all my PANTONE inspired work throughout the years! As someone who’s very inspired by colour, I love to stay informed about the latest colour trends and allow them to inspire, challenge and push my creative work.

As you can probably imagine, I’m particularly passionate about PANTONE’s selection for 2019! If you’re craving a serious dose of colour to help see you through these final wintery months as we (slowly but surely!) transition into spring, today’s post is an ode to Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year. Get ready for a mega dose of Living Coral inspiration — including my favourite ideas to inspire you to incorporate this beautifully vibrant and energetic hue into your personal style, home decor, plants, flowers, beauty routine and even your food and drink this year!

2018 REVIEW + 2019 GOALS

Well hello, friends! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted — I took some time during the first half of this dry January (it’s actually been great!) to reflect on the past year, get re-inspired and really put some thought into what I’d like to achieve in 2019. It’s been a very valuable exercise, so thank you for your patience! Today I’m dishing on everything I’ve discovered in this real, raw, lengthy (we’re talking the longest post I’ve ever written!) read recapping 2018 and sharing my intentions, aspirations and goals for the new year — plus exactly how I plan to achieve them!

When I look back on my goals post from last year, I feel grateful to be in a much better head space and place in my life — although it was a long road to get here. Longtime readers will know I’m always very transparent about the staggering amount of work that goes into blogging, content creation and creative entrepreneurship — and from the day I stared this blog in March of 2015 through to the end of 2017, I hustled hard. As a result, I entered 2018 feeling completely burnout, uninspired and unsure of how to proceed. I knew a change was necessary for me to move forward and progress in a way that would allow for more balance and well being in my life (and therefore more inspired work), but I wasn’t exactly sure how to get there. I felt like I needed to slow down and take life as it came, rather than creating an exhaustive list of all the things I felt I needed to accomplish — and I spent 2018 doing just that. I changed course and made chasing my passions for HOME and FASHION based content my first priority, which resulted in a pretty monumental year here at JustineCelina. That said, the largest shifts I made were off of these pages, in my mental and physical health, relationships and life in general. Fast forward to January of 2019 and I’m feeling energized, more inspired and productive than ever — and ready to make 2019 my best year yet! If you’re curious about what what’s to come, my favourite tools and resources to stay organized, inspired and fit, or in need of a healthy dose of motivation, cozy up with me and let’s chat about living and working with confidence and intention this year!

DIGITAL BLOOMS JANUARY 2019 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER

Flower lovers, welcome back for the first post of 2018! Rebecca Dawn Design and I are kicking 2019 off with a fresh installment of DIGITAL BLOOMS celebrating the softer side of winter with a dreamy, neutral palette of blush, cream and sage juxtaposed with dramatic berry. We’re also dipping our toes into Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year, Living Coral — described as an animated and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. Our beautiful Keira Garden Rose’s petals feature a kiss of this year’s hottest hue!

And now, for some blog housekeeping! In an effort to work smarter, streamline my workflows (more on this in an upcoming 2019 goals post) and keep my DIGITAL BLOOMS free, in 2019 I’ll be releasing one tech wallpaper each month here at JustineCelina, rather than the three I’ve offered previously. You can still expect this post on the first of each month, however, I’ll be focusing on creating three designs to represent each season. This January, the first of our WINTER free tech wallpaper includes stunning Keira Garden Roses (learn all about roses), Ranunculus (learn all about ranunculus), Blushing Bride Proteas and foraged berries. Start 2019 fresh by giving your tech a clean, minimalistic makeover and enjoy January’s Digital Blooms on the background of your computer, tablet or phone all month long — completely free!

DIGITAL BLOOMS DECEMBER 2018 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — and this December, Rebecca Dawn Design and I are here for all your festive, floral Free Tech Wallpapers needs with a very merry edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS! Each holiday season, we look forward to coming up with fresh festive inspiration, taking cues from current colour trends and the wintery seasonal blooms available to us. In year past we’ve gone moody and luxe and cool and crisp — but believe it or not, we’ve never actually gone classic and worked with red hues. So this year, we went semi-traditional with a palette of vibrant red, snowy white, sage green and deep berry, inspired by the familiar holiday hues present in Pantone’s Fall / Winter 2018 Colour Trend Report. For a bit of juxtaposition, we’ve gone really playful with our designs — this year, choose from a whimsical tree, jubilant wreath or playful snowman (he’s so cute!) to adorn your tech this holiday season!

December’s Free Tech Wallpapers feature a festive medley of classic, red and white Ranunculus, ethereal Blushing Bride Proteas, Delano Chrysanthemums, cheerful red and moody black berries and a few foraged vines and twigs! Get in the holiday spirit with us DIGITAL BLOOMS style by clicking through to download 3 festive, floral tech wallpapers — absolutely free! And don’t forget to share your holiday-ready tech with us using #justinecelinadigitalblooms or tagging me on social media — we love to see how you’re using them and I always share my favourites on Insta Stories! Wishing you all happy, healthy and joyous holiday season.

DIGITAL BLOOMS AUGUST 2018 | FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

Friends, I’m so excited to share August’s Free Tech Wallpapers with you today! Since the inception of DIGITAL BLOOMS nearly 2 and a half years ago, we’ve always incorporated your feedback into our design process — whether it be highly requested flowers, coloured backgrounds or more minimalistic designs, you asked and we delivered! One request that we’ve consistently received this year is to create more masculine or gender neutral designs — and because of the nature of flowers being inherently feminine, it we knew this one would be challenging. So, we have a bit of a curveball for you today! August’s free tech wallpapers feature a gorgeous neutral palette along with and a handful of edible produce and herbs — a first here in the JustineCelina DIGITAL BLOOMS library!

Inspired by the bounty of summer gardens, Rebecca Dawn Design and I teamed up to curate a lovely selection of Quicksand Roses, Purple Artichokes, Safari Sunset, Mini Green Artichokes, Rosemary, Hypericum and Feijoa in an fresh, earthy palette of new green, aubergine, blush and sage. Add a culinary flair to your tech this summer by clicking through to choose from 3, free desktop wallpapers — we hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed drawing inspiration for new sources to create them for you!

I’ve always said that flowers are my not so secret weapon to elevate any celebration or space — I absolutely love to have fresh flowers in our home whenever possible. But today I’m sharing exactly how to select flowers that compliment your space and showcasing a variety of blooms and foliage not yet seen here at JustineCelina!

Pour yourself a delicious glass of rosé (hey, it’s hump day and we’ve earned it!) and enjoy a relaxing mid-week read dedicated to creating a cohesive space that feels fresh and inviting. I’m sharing where I source inspiration for flower content as well as flowers in our home, how I select flowers to compliment decor, colour palette and even the plants in a space (our urban jungle is expanding rapidly!). Learn more about how Rebecca worked with Hyacinths, Double Tulips, Ranunculus, Larkspur, Queen Anne’s Lace, Quicksand Roses, Lisianthus, Podocarpus and Camelia to create these complimentary arrangements that perfectly invoked the fleeting beauty of the season.
