A BLUSHING SPRING ARRANGEMENT

Flower children, welcome back for another installment in our FLOWER EDUCATION series! Today Rebecca Dawn Design and I couldn’t be more excited to share this Blushing Spring Arrangement with you — it’s sweet, fragrant and right on trend Spring (nope, I’m not even close to being done with the Spring Pantone Fashion Color Report!). MARCH 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES + BLOG HOUSEKEEPING

Hey guys — welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! As you may have gathered, the last couple of months have been intense BEAUTY wise here at JustineCelina — I’m elated to continue my partnership with Sephora Canada into 2017 and have been testing products like crazy. I’ve also been testing new drugstore products as well (if you joined me over on Insta Stories one random Friday afternoon last month where I unboxed and gave my first impressions on a ton of new goodies I picked up from Wet n Wild, you know what I’m talking about!). My March 2017 Beauty Favourites are a mixture of new high end obsessions and new drugstore obsessions — there’s something for everyone!

And now, for some blog housekeeping. Back in my New Year, New Goals: Cultivating a Balanced 2017 post, I mentioned a number of things I was investigating to aid me in working smarter this year. I’ve been experimenting with new structures, programs, workflows and tools behind the scenes here at JustineCelina this year — and you’ll see the first of the changes roll out in today’s post (I’m excited to share them with you — but I’m still learning, so it’s a work in progress!). MARCH 2017 SOUNDTRACK

Friends, it’s time for some fresh tunes! My March 2017 Soundtrack is short and sweet at just over 2 hours and 35 songs, so I’m going to follow suit with the introduction. March was a jam packed month with a bit of travel throw into the mix — and this soundtrack features a little bit of everything!

This month, Golden Coast’s Recess, Whethan and Ashe’s Can’t Hide, Only Your’s Living in the Moment, Kidwaste’s Time, Saavan’s Hide, ICELANDIA’s Stay, Ella Vos’s White Noise, SQRD’s Together, Living’s Glory, birthday’s Grown Up Kids, Jason Nolan’s The Offing, Melvv & Dana Williams Lifeline and Mesita’s Spiraling sounded especially good to my ears. MY 2ND BLOGIVERSARY + 10 THINGS I LEARNED IN MY SECOND YEAR OF BLOGGING

Today’s post has literally been 1 year in the making! March 2, 2017 marked my 2nd Blogiversary. Can you believe it? So here we are — just over 2 years, 218 blog posts, 400 000 views, 100 000 images and 2 000 comments later, I’m sharing my My 2nd Blogiversary + 10 Things I Learned in my Second Year of Blogging!

Part of the reason I love blogging is that I have bookmarks into specific time periods of my life (albeit, a small portion of it). It’s so interesting to look back and reflect on where I was 1 year ago versus where I am now. Today’s post is different than last years Blogiversary celebration — because I’m different. This is a quite an introspective, raw post set to the theme of growth and change, which is also my overarching theme for March to welcome spring. This year, I wanted my Blogiversary to feel exactly how it would if we just hanging out as friends, sharing a glass of wine and having a conversation about the last year of this crazy journey of mine. It’s not the shiny production that last year’s post was — and it feels just right. Relaxed, casual, and simply more me at this specific moment (just as last year’s post felt like me at that specific moment). EFFORTLESS TRAVEL STYLE

Hello from Vancouver! It’s been awhile since I’ve traveled outside of Alberta and I’m so thrilled to be exploring this gorgeous city. I actually didn’t plan to publish a dedicated style post for this look, but many of you were interested in what I was wearing when I posted a photo of this outfit on Instagram yesterday — so where we are! While all of the style content you see here at JustineCelina is reflective of my fairly eclectic personal style, I like to keep things interesting, so I showcase a range of looks. Today’s outfit is such an easy one for me to wear and very representative of my everyday style — a simple, no fuss look incorporating some of my favourite wardrobe staples. In fact, I’ve worn every single piece (except my new-ish Zara sweater!) in previous style content.

I take in as much as I can on foot while I’m traveling (I love to discover new things around each corner!), so I do a lot of walking. While comfort and warmth are my first priorities, I also like to look polished and up for anything. Most locals have been complaining about the weather, but it’s -20°C in Calgary, so not having to be totally bundled up and deal with snow sounds pretty good to me right now (it’s been a long winter!). My Effortless Travel Style is achieved by packing a small but cohesive wardrobe full of quality, simple pieces and great accessories that I’m able to combine in unique ways to create a variety of outfits.
