Hey, friends. How’s everyone doing? Wow — what an intense couple of months its been! If you keep up with me on Instagram (and if you don’t, I’d love for you to join me!), you may have some insight into how quickly life has changed here in Calgary as a result of COVID-19. It’s crazy to think that we started shooting my Winter / Spring 2020 Lookbook back in February when the world was a completely different place — I was still planning outfits for all the different personal and professional situations I would typically find myself in as we transition from winter to spring. Things evolved rapidly, so I polled you on Instagram Stories to see if you’d still like to see this LOOKBOOK — and 100% of you responded yes! That said, as we heed the advice of local authorities to stay in whenever possible, I feel it’s important to share we shot these images nearly 2 months ago — and I’ve been working from home ever since to get this post ready.
Today, I’m thrilled to finally share my Winter / Spring 2020 Lookbook with you! If you’re in search of a sartorial escape from reality and a look at a handful of my favourite winter-to-spring transitional trends mashed up with wardrobe staples and practical outfit formulas, you’ve come to the right place. As always, you can expect a melange of high, low, old, new and vintage here today — as well as shoppable links at every price point for those in need of a little retail therapy. This LOOKBOOK features my favourite early spring outfit formulas, ideal for temperatures ranging from about 10 degrees on either side of freezing (believe it or not, it was still snowing here last week!). Even though we’ll be spending the majority of our time indoors for the foreseeable future, I still enjoy seasonal trends mixed with easy basics — and showing you how to re-style them season after season (and year after year!). Pour yourself a delicious glass of rosé and settle in with me this weekend as I highlight my favourite winter-to-spring transitional trends, patterns, prints and colours — plus, how I incorporate them into my work-from-home wardrobe!

Lipstick lovers, I’m elated to share my first dedicated BEAUTY post in nearly 2 years (I cannot believe it’s been so long!) to kick off the return of beauty content here at JustineCelina! Today I’m thrilled to introduce a brand new series called MY TOP 5, where I shared tried and true beauty staples across categories. If you follow along with my FASHION content, you’ll likely be familiar with my philosophy of investing in wardrobe staples — and that mindset also trickles into my ‘beauty wardrobe’! While I absolutely love to experiment with beauty trends and keep up-to-date on the latest colours, textures and methods, I also have a core collection of well formulated beauty staples that I find myself wearing most often.
Today I’m kicking things off my sharing My Top 5 Everyday Lip Colours — the ones that live in the bottoms of bags, that I’ve gone through multiple tubes of and that you’ll find me in whenever I’m in mood for a flattering my lips but better shade! These are my most worn, most loved lip colours — the ones I most often recommend to friends and family, and use on shoots. The formulas are luxurious and nourishing, they’re easy to use and wear and they make your lips look perfectly defined, plump and juicy! My Top 5 Everyday Lip Colours are flattering on a wide variety of skintones and age ranges, too. Pull up a seat at my vanity and let’s chat about my all-time-favourite lipsticks, glosses and lipliners while I update you on what you can expect here in the JustineCelinaBEAUTY department moving forward!
The perpetual Extreme Cold Warning finally appears to have lifted here in Calgary — and with temperatures set to rise above O°C this weekend, visions of spring are dancing through my head! Although I typically enjoy dressing for whatever weather mother nature throws our way, after experiencing the 3rd coldest February on record, I’m must admit I’m really looking forward to spring. But because of our cooler, rather temperamental climate, realistically it will be a couple of months before bare legs and open-toed shoes are on the menu. So, what’s a girl to wear while she’s longing for spring but still experiencing wintery weather?!
While I absolutely love to experiment with integrating seasonal trends into my personal style, I also believe a wardrobe built on a foundation of quality basics is essential in order to do so. This fashion philosophy has inspired me to start a brand new series called STYLE STAPLES here at JustineCelina where I’ll be sharing my most worn, most loved, workhorse wardrobe staples, season after season — the ones I would struggle to put outfits together without! Today we’re kicking things off with my favourite winter to spring transitional pieces for 2019 to help you navigate unpredictable weather in practical, stylish garments and accessories you can wear for years to come! This outfit formula works in both personal and professional settings with a few tweaks, flatters a wide range of body types and can be adapted to suit both warmer and cooler climates. If you’re up for a crash course on chic, pre-spring transitional FASHION, bust out the rosé, curl up in your favourite reading nook and let’s dive in!

As you can probably imagine, I’m particularly passionate about PANTONE’s selection for 2019! If you’re craving a serious dose of colour to help see you through these final wintery months as we (slowly but surely!) transition into spring, today’s post is an ode to Pantone’s 2019 Colour of the Year. Well hello, beautiful souls! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it?! Not to worry — I’m back today with another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! The first part of September has been very busy with client work, so this post is coming to you a little late. That said, it’s packed full of some great new beauty finds and rediscovered products across eye, cheek, lip, complexion and nail categories, so I hope it was worth the wait. I’m definitely starting to transition into more autumnal makeup but have been enjoying lighter, fresher lip colours — so I guess we have a little bit of a summer-meets-fall vibe happening again today (there’s definitely a theme here at JustineCelina this month!).
Settle in on this crisp, late summer evening and let’s chat about everything I’ve loved putting on my face (and nails) lately! My August 2017 Beauty Favourites including the ultimate warm eyeshadow lovers dream palette, a natural, neutral lip liner that goes with everything, a luxurious, extremely unique lip cream, a fantastic lipstick for everyday wear as we transition into fall, the most heavenly drugstore bronzer I’ve ever worn, the perfect rosy blush in one of my all time favourite formulas and a decadent berry polish with nail helping, healthy ingredients (it’s infused with kale!). If you’re looking to incorporate a touch of autumn into your beauty routine, I have so many fantastic recommendations for you today!
Man it feels good to publish this May 2017 Beauty Favourites post! Since I spent a large part of March barefaced due to my finger injury and published my first ever completely makeup free Monthly Beauty Favourites post, this past month I really enjoyed experimenting with makeup again and discovered so many incredible new products. May was packed full of events (both blog related and personal) and I took every available opportunity to get my glam on — so you’ll find a healthy dose of glow and sparkle in my May beauty favourites! There’s a strong peach, pink and rose gold theme in my favourites today — what can I say, I’ve been immersing myself in seasonal colour trends in full force!
