FAUX FUR + DISTRESSED DENIM

My personal style is pretty eclectic. I’m all about mixing it up! I get bored easily, and I like to wear a lot of different styles — that applies to both fashion and beauty. I’ve always been a bit of a chameleon, and I totally channel that into my look! I dress according to my mood, and have a lot of versatile piece in my closet that allow me to keep things fresh without having to buy a new wardrobe each season. I also like to mix high and low, old and new, and sophisticated with casual. That’s what today’s look is all about — I’m wearing plaid with patent, fringe with faux fur, and berry lips with boyfriend jeans! I think fashion should be fun, and I love combining different styles in unexpected ways.

BEST IN BEAUTY | OCTOBER 2015

October was truly a high-low month for beauty favourites! When it comes to beauty products (or anything, really) I don’t discriminate based on price — some $2 products work better than $100 products. Well, this month, I’ve been loving $2 lip liners, $3 cream eyeshadows, $3 nailpolish, a $4 dry shampoo, and a $95 face palette! So when I recommend a product, know that it’s not just good for the price — it’s just good, period!

I’m sharing lots of beauty bargains with you this month, and my in-depth thoughts on the extremely spendy Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette. Also, an amazing $6 contouring palette, and the perfect matte, deep berry lip. Let’s chat about beauty bargains and splurges!

COMFORT ZONE

Sometimes you just want to be really comfortable, am I right?! While I absolutely love dressing up, there are many occasions when I still want to look put together, but be comfortable and cozy (like a casual Thanksgiving dinner, for example — when I wore this exact outfit!). Today I’m chatting about my favourite comfortable, elevated basics for autumn. I love to add lots of texture and interest to my outfits with light layers and versatile accessories — my favourite pieces are made from soft, comfortable fabric, and their unique details make them more interesting than your basic leggings and oversized tee. I’m so happy to be sharing more fashion content with you this fall and winter! To kick things off today, I’m starting a new series here at JustineCelina called HOW TO STYLE — showing you how to style a specific on-trend item that you might not think you can pull off, or may be intimidated by.

I’ve loved ponchos for years, and will always wear what I love regardless of whether or not it’s trendy — but I’m pretty excited that ponchos are everywhere this fall! BEST IN BEAUTY | SEPTEMBER 2015

I absolutely love fall makeup, and transitioning into darker, richer shades. Fall colours are my favourite to wear! During September I rediscovered my favourite powder eyeshadows from Makeup Geek (who makes the best quality eyeshadows at any price point, but these just happen to be $6 each!). I picked up some new goodies from e.l.f. Cosmetics (another inexpensive brand with awesome products) and found a holy grail setting powder and some beautiful berry-toned blushes. I also found the perfect daytime berry lip. Let’s chat about fall beauty products!

DIY | NATURAL TREE STUMP SIDE TABLE

Have you ever seen natural tree stump side tables in your favourite home decor stores and thought “Hey, I bet I could make that!”? Me too — so I did! Today I’m showing you how we made our very own Natural Tree Stump Side Table! I mentioned earlier this summer that I’ve been obsessed with natural wood textures and was lusting after a side table very similar to this one (which retails at $249 at West Elm). I always prefer to make things myself rather buying them, because you’re able to create exactly the look you like at a fraction of the cost. I promise it’s simple to do, and you can make it in a weekend (seriously!).
