Welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! This July I fell in love with a gorgeous new summer fragrance from Givenchy, discovered a budget friendly liquid eyeliner that rivals my high end favourite, wore my new Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks to death and found the perfect coral lip liner to go with them!

It was a pretty low-key month for be beauty wise and I tended towards pairing bolder lip colors with a simple winged eye — which is one of my favourite summer looks. I also used my favourite eyeshadows from Makeup Geek almost everyday! BITE BEAUTY AMUSE BOUCHE LIPSTICKS PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES

It’s been awhile since I reviewed some new products from one of my favourite high end makeup brands Bite Beauty. So today I’m excited to bring you a review of 3 summery shades from their most recent launch — the Amuse Bouche Lipstick range. If you’re not familiar with Bite, they’re a Canadian lip-exclusive brand who’s products are made with natural, food grade ingredients that are actually good for your lips. Bite Beauty used to make my all time favourite lipstick formula, the Luminous Crème Lipsticks. I also introduced so many of you to Bite products last year — I love it when you leave comments, send me messages or tag me in photos wearing my product recommendations!

Imagine my dismay when I heard Bite was discontinuing the Luminous Crème Lipsticks earlier this year (do anyone else’s favourite products always seem to get discontinued?!). When I discovered they were replacing the Luminous Crème Lipsticks with a new lipstick line called Amuse Bouche I was intrigued — and a bit skeptical, to be honest! I’m happy to report that I love Bite’s Amuse Bouche Lipsticks just as much (if not a little better!) than their predecessor, my beloved Luminous Crème Lipsticks. JUNE BEAUTY FAVOURITES

What better way to welcome a new month than with some new beauty goodies? My June 2016 Beauty Favourites is a comprehensive review of what I’ve been loving in the beauty department lately — so grab a snack or cup of tea and get comfy! This month I’m chatting about some exciting new brands and products launching at Canadian London Drugs stores, a full coverage, high end foundation, some gorgeous pink lip products, a fantastic drugstore contouring and highlighting kit, a flexible hold hairspray that gives me tons of volume and a gorgeous, universally flattering foiled eyeshadow from Makeup Geek!

I was splitting my time last month between my home in Calgary and my childhood home in rural Alberta, so I’ve really been able to get a handle on some new products that I packed in my makeup bag to test out. SUMMER SOLSTICE DINNER PARTY

Summer is officially here and I can’t think of a better reason to pick up a bottle of wine and invite your friends over for dinner! Tonight’s post is a fun and feminine tablescape I created with Rebecca Dawn Design to celebrate the dawn of summer.

Inspired by the merging seasons we’ve combined the blossoming branches of spring with summer’s colourful blooms, accented with aztec textiles, gold accents and of course some rosé — because I can’t be stopped! I’m also sharing my tips for pulling together an eclectic tablescape with budget friendly and thrifted decor, because I believe unique celebrations don’t have to come with an extravagant price tag. Come gather around my dining table and let’s chat summer entertaining!

NEWTRALS

Summer is in full swing here in Calgary and each season I look forward to updating my wardrobe with a few new pieces! Although I love colour, today’s post is inspired by some new, neutral items I’ve picked up recently that have been on heavy rotation. I’m highlighting my favourite new accessories in a neutral, versatile colour palette and chatting about how I incorporate new pieces into my wardrobe to update old favorites. I also chat pairing a statement lip with neutral outfits to punch them up and add a pop of colour (because you know I can’t get enough purple lips lately)! Stay tuned for summer style inspiration and my take on the seasons latest trends — including bucket bags, circle shades, tassels and cropped, frayed, distressed denim.
