It’s Peony season and I bet you’re just as excited as we are! Peonies are some of our favourite flowers — so, to welcome the first month of summer here at JustineCelina, our June DIGITAL BLOOMS are dedicated to Peonies and flowering trees! The pink craze continues here at JustineCelina this month, as does the obsession with the Spring 2017 Pantone Fashion Color Report. This June, Rebeca Dawn Design and I are crazy for watercolour inspired hues of soft coral, warm violet and creamy white juxtaposed with fresh greens. We kept our designs simple to let the exquisite beauty of our Coral Sunset Peonies sing (seriously — have you ever seen a more beautiful flower?!). DIY FLOATING SPRING CENTREPIECE

Many of us are bringing fresh flowers into our homes this spring — but despite our best care, all flowers eventually fade. Today I’ve teamed up with my friend and incredibly talented flower designer Rebecca Dawn Design to share an extremely simple (and extremely beautiful!) DIY Floating Spring Centrepiece — the perfect way to extend the life of blooms that are on their way out! All you need is a large serving bowl, fresh water and a handful of blooms — either repurposed from a less than youthful arrangement, or foraged from your garden! We’re covering everything you need to know to create a showstopping centrepiece to infuse any space with the fleeting beauty of spring blossoms — expert flower arranging skills not required.

You guessed it — we’re still drawing inspiration from Pantone’s spring palette and highlighting a melange of gorgeous spring blooms in soft shades of Pale Dogwood, Flame, Pink Yarrow, Hazelnut and (of course) a hint of the Colour of the Year for 2017, Greenery. ALL ABOUT ROSES

Well hello, everyone! It’s been a week since my last blog post — I took the long weekend off from blogging to enjoy some quality rest and relaxation — and it was absolutely fantastic! I headed to the mountains on Saturday for a peaceful drive, a much needed massage at my favourite spa and an incredible meal. I also slept in, caught up on some housework, read a book and generally just enjoyed a slow, semi unplugged weekend without my camera (yep, still working on that balance thing we talked about!) How did you spend your long weekend?

This week I’m back at it — feeling refreshed, renewed and so excited to bring you another collaborative post in our ALL ABOUT series where Rebecca Dawn Design and I team up to educate you about everything you’ve ever wanted to know to know about a certain flower! In honour of love month, it’s been All About Roses here at JustineCelina and today we’re reintroducing you to February’s quintessential bloom, the rose. Learn about common and unique varieties, what to look for when purchasing roses, as well as how to care for and condition them so you can enjoy them for up to 14 days. Rebecca also shares her secret weapon for reviving droopy roses — you’re not going to want to miss it! SUMMER SOLSTICE DINNER PARTY

Summer is officially here and I can’t think of a better reason to pick up a bottle of wine and invite your friends over for dinner! Tonight’s post is a fun and feminine tablescape I created with Rebecca Dawn Design to celebrate the dawn of summer.

Inspired by the merging seasons we’ve combined the blossoming branches of spring with summer’s colourful blooms, accented with aztec textiles, gold accents and of course some rosé — because I can’t be stopped! I’m also sharing my tips for pulling together an eclectic tablescape with budget friendly and thrifted decor, because I believe unique celebrations don’t have to come with an extravagant price tag. Come gather around my dining table and let’s chat summer entertaining!
