Can you believe it’s already September 1st? It seems like summer is just flying by this year. Having said that, I’m looking forward to welcoming fall later this month! I’m also very excited to share autumn themed flower content in partnership with Rebecca Dawn Design with you over the coming months — seriously you guys, I can’t wait to publish it!

To kick off the first month of a new season, September’s DIGITAL BLOOMS incorporate some of late summer and early autumn’s prettiest flowers and foliage. Our 3 flower-based designs are inspired by the wild beauty of Indian summers and a palette of eggplant, terracotta, marsala, apricot, blush, cream and fresh greens. We’re also introducing to some brand new seasonal blooms into this series — including Stock, Eremurus, Dalihas, Astilbe, Chrysanthemums, Thlaspi and Cotinus. Rebecca and I have an educational post all about early autumn flowers hitting JustineCelina later this month, but for now you can enjoy them on the background of your computer, tablet or phone — absolutely free!

FORAGED PRAIRIE WILDFLOWER BOUQUET

I’ve been dreaming this post up since I first started blogging here at JustineCelina — and I’m elated to finally be able to share it with you today! Typically, people associate the mountains with wildflowers, but our Canadian prairies are brimming with wildflowers and gorgeous natural foliage, too. You guys, Colourpop did it again! If you’ve been with me for awhile you’ll know how much I love Colourpop Cosmetics — an innovative, affordable, cruelty-free makeup brand hailing from L.A. Last spring when their first line of liquid lipsticks launched, I loved them so much that I did a dedicated review post. And while I do still love the original Ultra Matte Lips, the liquid lipstick world has blown up over the last year — formulas have been perfected, colour ranges have expanded, and brands are really listening to what consumers are looking for. So, when I heard Colourpop launched an Ultra Satin Lip formula that was supposed to by less drying, you know I had to try it out! WINTER BOHO + HOW TO SHOP FOR GREAT VINTAGE

Lately, I’ve been reviewing my photo archives and lusting after the more carefree, bohemian styles of summer and autumn. My very first fashion post for JustineCelina is still one of my favourites! So today I’m chatting about wearing bohemian styles in cooler temperatures. You’ll find me pretty much living in maxi dresses in the summer, so I wanted to show you can style them for winter, too. In Calgary the weather is right around the 10° mark and things are starting to thaw out (see that hint of green on the ground?!) — so wardrobe options begin to open up. It’s nice not having to be totally bundled all the time, and start experimenting with layering again! I really love a good faux fur vest, and one of my favourite ways to wear them in the late winter and early fall is to pair them up with maxi dresses. I also give you a simple braided hairstyle idea, and my tips on how to shop for great vintage!

I’m so happy to be sharing more fashion content with you this fall and winter! To kick things off today, I’m starting a new series here at JustineCelina called HOW TO STYLE — showing you how to style a specific on-trend item that you might not think you can pull off, or may be intimidated by.

I’ve loved ponchos for years, and will always wear what I love regardless of whether or not it’s trendy — but I’m pretty excited that ponchos are everywhere this fall! They’re such a statement piece, and a great way to add interest, depth and texture to your fall wardrobe. The one I’m wearing is actually from Garage Clothing (yeah that’s right… I was shocked too!) — it’s so cozy and luxurious feeling. BEST IN BEAUTY | SEPTEMBER 2015

I absolutely love fall makeup, and transitioning into darker, richer shades. Fall colours are my favourite to wear! During September I rediscovered my favourite powder eyeshadows from Makeup Geek (who makes the best quality eyeshadows at any price point, but these just happen to be $6 each!). I picked up some new goodies from e.l.f. Cosmetics (another inexpensive brand with awesome products) and found a holy grail setting powder and some beautiful berry-toned blushes. I also found the perfect daytime berry lip. Let’s chat about fall beauty products!
