Hey, beautiful people! Welcome back for another installment in my BEAUTY 101 series — where I break down a specific beauty related topic for you in an educational post! Makeup brushes are something I receive a lot of questions about and I’m more than happy to share my knowledge with you. Are you baffled by makeup brushes? Makeup Brush 101 is a comprehensive guide to makeup brush essentials for anyone wanting to elevate their makeup application skills. I have a similar philosophy with makeup application tools as I do with beauty products — I truly believe you can find great brushes and tools at every price point. While the majority of my favourite tools are budget friendly, I’ve also included a few that I totally think are worth the splurge if you’re looking to treat yourself! An artist couldn’t create a masterpiece without great paint brushes, right?! I think the right makeup application tools are just as important (if not more important) than beauty products themselves. Grab a latte or pour yourself a glass of wine and let’s chat about great beauty tools!

JULY BEAUTY FAVOURITES
Welcome back for another Monthly Beauty Favourites post! This July I fell in love with a gorgeous new summer fragrance from Givenchy, discovered a budget friendly liquid eyeliner that rivals my high end favourite, wore my new Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks to death and found the perfect coral lip liner to go with them!
It was a pretty low-key month for be beauty wise and I tended towards pairing bolder lip colors with a simple winged eye — which is one of my favourite summer looks. I also used my favourite eyeshadows from Makeup Geek almost everyday! If you’re looking for great summer beauty and fragrance recommendations, stay tuned for a healthy mix of drugstore and high end discoveries. I also take you along to Givenchy’s Art of Perfumery presentation at Anju!
After 10 days of rain and some crazy storms here in Alberta, I took full advantage of a few brief days of sunshine earlier this week. Today I’m chatting about carefree summer style and my favourite easy pieces to wear on hot summer days. You know, those simple ‘one and done’ pieces that practically style themselves — you can just throw them on and go? That’s what today’s post is all about! I’m also sharing some great accessories to add interest to easy summer outfits along with my go-to pair of oversized shades. Come adventure to the beautiful canola fields right behind my family’s acreage in rural Alberta and enjoy some virtual Vitamin D!

I’m so fortune to be able to work with Rebecca to bring flower content to JustineCelina and I want to take a moment to acknowledge just how lucky we really are to be able to learn from her. In addition to being my friend, she’s also one of the industry’s most talented flower designers and a fantastic teacher. I’ve learned so much being able to work alongside her and I couldn’t be happier or more excited to be able to share it with all of you! Today Rebecca is spilling her flower design tips and insider tricks as Milton Photography captures it all on film — so grab a notepad and a glass of wine and let’s learn how to arrange flowers together!
WHAT TO WEAR TO | THE CALGARY STAMPEDE
With the Calgary Stampede currently underway I thought it would be the perfect time for another installment in my WHAT TO WEAR TO series! Today I’m chatting about what I’m wearing this year and sharing my love for great vintage and authentic western style with a bohemian influence. If you don’t live near Calgary, let me fill you in — the Calgary Stampede is a 10 day outdoor festival referred to as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, celebrating the culture of the wild wild west. It’s also one big excuse for the city to shut down and party, which I have to say Calgarians do quite well! And while my crazy stampeding days are long behind me, there are some fantastic Stampede events and parties (not to mention excellent networking) that takes place during these 10 days — and I like to look the part! I think there’s an opportunity to dress really well at the Calgary Stampede and embrace the roots of traditional western style.
This post is also a collaboration with the lovely Dawn Bradley Hair who I worked with to create this gorgeous bohemian hairstyle. If you’re looking for some textured, braided, perfectly undone hair inspiration, Dawn breaks down how to achieve the style in 10 easy steps!

My June 2016 Beauty Favourites is a comprehensive review of what I’ve been loving in the beauty department lately — so grab a snack or cup of tea and get comfy! This month I’m chatting about some exciting new brands and products launching at Canadian London Drugs stores, a full coverage, high end foundation, some gorgeous pink lip products, a fantastic drugstore contouring and highlighting kit, a flexible hold hairspray that gives me tons of volume and a gorgeous, universally flattering foiled eyeshadow from Makeup Geek!
I was splitting my time last month between my home in Calgary and my childhood home in rural Alberta, so I’ve really been able to get a handle on some new products that I packed in my makeup bag to test out. Stay tuned to learn more about some great new drugstore products and a few high end ones, too!
