NOVEMBER SOUNDTRACK

I’m back with another monthly soundtrack for you today — is it just me or did November fly by?! November was packed full of so many exciting things, including a road trip to Jasper for Christmas in November, lots of work, photo shoots and blog projects that I’m excited to share with you soon! November’s Soundtrack is a bit shorter than most at just 50 tracks, so let me know what length you prefer for these playlists. I start them at the beginning of each month and add tracks as they catch my ear, so there’s never any rhyme or reason to the length!

A few standout tracks this month include this remix of Blood in the Cut, Lowell’s West Coast Forever, this awesome remix of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car (that I discovered driving out to my childhood home in rural Alberta earlier this month!), Glass Gang’s Wild Light, Molly Marlette’s Do Me a Favor, Matt DiMona’s The Universe We Dreamt, pronoun’s just cuz you can’t, Day Wave’s Wasting Time, SteHouse & Nick Leng’s Been So Long, Kirty’s Get To You, Oliver Tank’s Swerve, Sure Sure’s Fat Lady, pronoun’s snowed in // there’s no one new around you, Oscuro’s All In My Mind and Blonde Maze’s Antarctica. If you’re looking for some new music as we roll into December, give my November Soundtrack a listen!

OCTOBER SOUNDTRACK

Need a fresh playlist for the weekend? I’ve got you covered with 62 of my favourite tracks from the month! October was another very busy month for me with lots of exciting new projects on the go — a couple that you’ve seen already and a few that are still around the corner! I also had tons of photoshoots this month and relied on this soundtrack to keep the momentum going (expect so much fresh collaborative content to roll out here at JustineCelina before year end!). A few standout tracks this month include Francis Lung’s A Selfish Man, Best Coast’s Feeling Ok (we attended their amazing show hosted by Fido Mobile at The Palomino earlier this month), SOUL’s Bad Girl, Computer Magic’s Gone for the Weekend, Elohim’s All That Gold, Ripsy May’s When In Love, Jome’s Brushstroke, Vinyl Pinup’s Heart Shaped Sunnies (remember my June Soundtrack?), Wolfe’s When You’re Alone, Miynt’s After The Gold Rush and Belle Mare’s How Much Longer. Get cozy and throw on some great music this weekend — there’s something for everyone in my eclectic October Soundtrack!

SEPTEMBER SOUNDTRACK

Who’s ready for a fresh new playlist to welcome autumn? My September Soundtrack has you covered with just under 4 hours of new tunes! September was a really busy month for me and I’m constantly listening to music while I’m working on various projects — this has been my background music all month long and it’s also the music that’s been playing in my Instagram Stories if you’ve been following along! It’s great music to work, think and create to. A few standout tracks this month include a really dreamy, stripped down cover of The Smashing Pumpkin’s 1979 (my name is the lyrics!), Kasbo’s remix of Mutemath’s Monument, MOOD ROBOT’s Ghost, Attom & Ciele’s Afterglow, Softer Still’s New Age, Bird Passenger’s Cabin Fever, Zammuto’s My Dog’s Eyes and Bon Iver’s new track 33 “GOD” (I could go on!). I’ve also included a few other tracks from MOOD ROBOT — I’m a huge fan of their sound and all of their albums! Come hang out for awhile and treat your ears to 58 fresh tracks this fall.

My July Soundtrack is a 3.5 hour playlist of free spirited indie, upbeat alternative, tropical house and a healthy dose of hip hop! It’s a perfect soundtrack for long weekend adventures — whether you’re roadtripping, camping or enjoying the summer weather with friends over cocktails. JUNE SOUNDTRACK

My June Soundtrack is a 75 track playlist full of dreamy, summery tunes and good vibes! If you’re looking for a fresh soundtrack for roadtrips, summer parties or just some great background music for sunny days I’ve got you covered. A few standout tracks this month include a cool rendition of Sixpence None The Richer’s Kiss Me (anyone else remember that song from our teenage years?), Cold by Grabbitz feat. LAYNE, Sniffle Party’s Peach Dream and Seven Strangers by 90 Pounds of Pete. I also fell hard for Brett‘s album Mode and added 5 of my favourite songs to June’s Soundtrack. MAY SOUNDTRACK

My May Soundtrack is a fresh, springy, 3.5 hour playlist of happy, chill music! Like most months, what sounded good to me in May was pretty diverse and I discovered lots of new artists. A few standout tracks this month include Hazing’s What Youth, Glade’s Drive and BLAJK’s French Class. I also really enjoyed Beast Coast’s new EP, Ocean Soul. I’m still using and loving Spotify (come join me over there!) and most of my new music discoveries have come from their Weekly Discover playlists. To be honest, I’m not sure how I lived without Spotify and their Discover Weekly playlists — which are updated every Monday based on your musical preferences. They make my Mondays (usually a day when I catch up on admin) so much better! I also threw in a few new tracks I discovered via my favourite Sirius XM channels — Alt Nation, XMU and XM Chill. My May Soundtrack is perfect background music for dinner with friends, spring parties, backyard barbecues or road trips!
