After 10 days of rain and some crazy storms here in Alberta, I took full advantage of a few brief days of sunshine earlier this week. Today I’m chatting about carefree summer style and my favourite easy pieces to wear on hot summer days. You know, those simple ‘one and done’ pieces that practically style themselves — you can just throw them on and go? That’s what today’s post is all about! I’m also sharing some great accessories to add interest to easy summer outfits along with my go-to pair of oversized shades. BITE BEAUTY AMUSE BOUCHE LIPSTICKS PHOTOS, REVIEW, SWATCHES

It’s been awhile since I reviewed some new products from one of my favourite high end makeup brands Bite Beauty. So today I’m excited to bring you a review of 3 summery shades from their most recent launch — the Amuse Bouche Lipstick range. If you’re not familiar with Bite, they’re a Canadian lip-exclusive brand who’s products are made with natural, food grade ingredients that are actually good for your lips. Bite Beauty used to make my all time favourite lipstick formula, the Luminous Crème Lipsticks. I also introduced so many of you to Bite products last year — I love it when you leave comments, send me messages or tag me in photos wearing my product recommendations!

Imagine my dismay when I heard Bite was discontinuing the Luminous Crème Lipsticks earlier this year (do anyone else’s favourite products always seem to get discontinued?!). When I discovered they were replacing the Luminous Crème Lipsticks with a new lipstick line called Amuse Bouche I was intrigued — and a bit skeptical, to be honest! I’m happy to report that I love Bite’s Amuse Bouche Lipsticks just as much (if not a little better!) than their predecessor, my beloved Luminous Crème Lipsticks. GOLDEN KIWI PIÑA COLADA POPSICLES

Happy Saturday! Today I’m sharing the recipe for my Golden Kiwi Piña Colada Popsicles — a nourishing summer treat made with freshly blended tropical fruit, nutritious greens and decadent coconut cream. These popsicles are all-natural, vegan and free of refined sugar and gluten. Although they taste like a tropical cocktail, they’re made with just 5 ingredients and they’re fun, quick and easy to prepare! They’re picky eater tested and kid approved, making them family friendly and a perfect sweet indulgence for hot summer days. I’ve said it many times here at JustineCelina, but I believe you can nourish and treat yourself at the same time. These cheerful summer popsicles are packed full of so many amazing vitamins and nutrients — largely in part to the gorgeous, golden kiwis used in this recipe. If you like piña coladas… well, then you’ll love this clean twist on a tropical classic!

I was splitting my time last month between my home in Calgary and my childhood home in rural Alberta, so I’ve really been able to get a handle on some new products that I packed in my makeup bag to test out. JUNE SOUNDTRACK

My June Soundtrack is a 75 track playlist full of dreamy, summery tunes and good vibes! If you’re looking for a fresh soundtrack for roadtrips, summer parties or just some great background music for sunny days I’ve got you covered. A few standout tracks this month include a cool rendition of Sixpence None The Richer’s Kiss Me (anyone else remember that song from our teenage years?), Cold by Grabbitz feat. LAYNE, Sniffle Party’s Peach Dream and Seven Strangers by 90 Pounds of Pete. I also fell hard for Brett‘s album Mode and added 5 of my favourite songs to June’s Soundtrack.
