Friends, the last month of 2017 is upon us (say what?!?!) and that means it’s time for an extra festive edition of DIGITAL BLOOMS to send 2016 off in style! Join Rebecca Dawn Design and I in welcoming winter with a fresh selection of seasonal flowers and whimsical, holiday inspired designs. This time we’re highlighting the cooler side of the PANTONE Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report — including luxe, velvety hues of Tawny Port, Ballet Slipper, Navy Peony, Golden Lime and Marina. We hope you enjoy this refreshing change of pace from the warm, autumnal palettes we’re been working with for the last few months! December 2017’s Digital Blooms feature some of our favourite winter flowers, foliage and berries — including Anenomies, Asclepias, Astilbe, Astrantia, Knifeblade Acacia, Liqustrom, Ruby Silk Grass, Sedum and Spray Roses. Our featured Christmas tree design is also a nod to Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2017, Greenery. It was a shade I really enjoyed working with across categories here at JustineCelina this year and can’t wait for the 2018 Colour of the Year announcement (I have a feeling it’s going to be in the red family — keep your eyes peeled to my socials over the next week or so, I’ll share the news as soon as I find out!).

NOVEMBER 2017 SOUNDTRACK

And just like that, another month has flown by (how is 2017 almost over?!). Welcome back for another monthly soundtrack, where I compile all my most listened to tracks in one tidy little playlist for you to enjoy! My November 2017 Soundtrack is an eclectic, 50 song playlist featuring tons of new artists and a melange of different genres — we’re talking everything from electronic to indie and hip hop to instrumental. This month, there’s even a new track from an artist who personally reached out to thank me for including one of his tunes in a previous playlist (I’m totally digging Infinitefreefall’s newest release, Belonging, which you’ll have the pleasure of listening to today!). AUTUMN / WINTER 2017 TREND GUIDE | FALLING FOR FLORALS

Fellow fashionistas, welcome back for my third AW17 TREND GUIDE and final set of photos we shot in the Alberta Badlands — this time, at dusk! Tonight I’m thrilled to share a bit of an edgier look than you’re typically used to seeing here at JustineCeina, but as I mentioned, I’ve been totally reinspired fashion wise this autumn and really experimenting with my personal style (and having tons of fun in the process!). It was also a lot of fun to experiment with different lighting conditions — since we shot this look in the last 15 minutes before the sunset, these photos have a bit of a moodier vibe to them. I think it suits the outfit perfectly!

Tonight I’m Falling for Florals all over again and styling a selection of seasonal trends through fresh eyes — including autumn / winter florals, soft leather, velvet, faux fur, circular shades and red. If you’re looking to elevate your personal style or refresh some wardrobe staples as we transition into winter, this post is for you! CLASSIC WINTER CITRUS RED SANGRIA

Remember when I mentioned all the seasonal recipes I have in my backlog? Well, today I’m finally publishing the very first sangria recipe I ever developed — almost 10 years ago (yikes!). I honestly can’t even tell you how many times I’ve made this Classic Winter Citrus Red Sangria with friends and family over the years, but I bet it’s more than 50. In fact, it was this recipe that inspired my sangria craze — it’s the original! It was singlehandedly responsible for a large portion of my 20’s being a bit hazy and escalating some of my favourite entertaining memories (or lack there of!) in our first homes over the years! This classic red sangria never fails to get the party started (now that’s the understatement of the century!) and is my all time favourite beverage to make when we’re hosting or attending a party, especially during the cooler months. It’s absolutely delicious and approved by friends, moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and inlaws — even the non-wine drinkers rave about it! So, I figured it was finally time to unleash the recipe on the world — however, I will not be held liable for any life altering hangovers that ensue after a few too many glasses (hey, it goes down easy — consider yourself warned!).

My Classic Winter Citrus Red Sangria is the quintessential holiday cocktail, marrying fruity zinfandel and apricot brandy with festive, seasonal flavours of satsuma, lime, lemon, pomegranate and a hint of cozy cinnamon. This better-for-you holiday cocktail is free of added sugar and brimming with clean, plant based ingredients plus a mega dose of antioxidants. If you love to entertain, this simple, jubilant sangria will leave your guests feeling merry and bright! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN ARRANGEMENT EVER

You guys, this is my favourite FLOWER content Rebecca and I have ever created together — and it has some pretty stiff competition, if I do say so myself! As someone who firmly believes they were born in the wrong decade, I’m thrilled to bring you my second AUTUMN 2017 TREND GUIDE dedicated to my love (obsession?) of 70’s inspired style! GLUTEN FREE SPICED SWEET POTATO BREAD

Wow, it’s been a minute since I published a bread recipe here at JustineCelina! Today I’m so happy to finally share one of the very first loaves I ever developed — seriously you guys, this recipe is ancient. It’s funny — there are so many old recipes like this that I’ve never had the chance to share with you! Currently I have about ten autumn recipes in my archives that have accumulated over the years — since I like to share things seasonally and don’t blog about food exclusively, you can see how they’d really add up. Well, this is one of them! My friends and family are very familiar with my Spiced Sweet Potato Bread recipe, however, this autumn I revamped it to be free of dairy, gluten (both of which I now have sensitivities to), refined sugar and oil. Sounds like a drag right?! Wrong!

My Gluten Free Spiced Sweet Potato Bread tastes like a beautifully spiced, indulgent, autumnal cake — I promise absolutely no one will know it’s a ‘free from’ recipe! A mega dose of nutritious, mashed sweet potatoes and decadent coconut milk mix and mingle with fall spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and allspice to create a dense, cake-like loaf enjoyed by plant baser eaters, people with food allergies and sensitivities and anyone that loves delicious seasonal baking! If you’re looking for healthier or allergy free alternative to seasonal desserts for Thanksgiving or holiday festivities, this Gluten Free Spiced Sweet Potato Bread is my top recommendation. I brought it to a family Thanksgiving dinner and it was a hit — even the picky eaters and little ones loved it! It also makes a fantastic breakfast, snack or clean dessert anytime you’re craving something sweet, spicy and nourishing. If you’re in the mood to bake this weekend (bonus: it makes your home smell amazing!), fix yourself a delicious chai latte, haul out your mixing bowls and throw on your coziest sweater — I have just the recipe!
