It’s that time of the month again (well, not that time of the month… but you know what I mean)! May was a mix of new finds and old favourites that I rediscovered — and they’re mostly at a drugstore price point. I also attended a few parties and weddings this month, and finally found the perfect lashes and lash glue! I felt like wearing cooler purple tones, smokey eyes and soft lips a lot — but I also had some fun with colour. Get comfy, pour yourself a cup of tea, and let’s chat beauty!
When life gives you lemons; you find some apples, carrots, and ginger — then you make this delicious juice! My Apple Carrot Lemon Ginger Juice is such an easy recipe that I almost didn’t want to share, but this is one of my all-time favourite fresh juices. Sometimes simple really is best. Enjoy this little bit of sunshine in a glass whenever you need a quick dose of vitamins and antioxidants to cleanse your digestive system and rev up your metabolism.

I’m very excited to share a soft and pretty boudoir shoot I styled in collaboration with Gabe McClintock; a brilliant, award-winning photographer based in Calgary. It’s also been featured by Junebug Weddings and The Calgary Bride — what an honour!
I’d worked with Gabe previously on a few styled shoots, so when he came to me with a different idea for a boudoir shoot, I was so excited to partner with him and help bring his vision to life! Together, we created images that were ethereal, feminine and raw — something unique and fresh in the boudoir category. I curated a wardrobe of vintage lingerie in soft, winter-inspired pastel hues with romantic lace accents and whimsical details.
My Crudité Style Niçoise Salad is my favourite salad to make after a trip to the farmer’s market! There’s a ton of beautiful, seasonal produce available right now, and this simple salad lets the ingredients shine. I like to serve this salad crudité-style — that way everyone can take what they like and customize their plates. This is a girl dinner classic; a nutrition-packed, hearty salad that tastes just as good as it looks!
Alright ladies (and gents), let’s talk skincare. I often receive compliments on my skin and am asked what I use, or people think I’m younger than I actually am — and I’m always surprised, because for so long I was insecure about my skin. I’ve finally found products and a regime that gives me healthy, happy skin — and today I’m going to share it with you! If it helps even one person be more comfortable in their skin, it will make me so happy.

This is a large-scale street art project at the corner of Troutman Street and St. Nicholas Avenue curated by Joseph Ficalora, a longtime Bushwick resident.
