HOW TO STYLE | PONCHOS

I’m so happy to be sharing more fashion content with you this fall and winter! To kick things off today, I’m starting a new series here at JustineCelina called HOW TO STYLE — showing you how to style a specific on-trend item that you might not think you can pull off, or may be intimidated by.

I’ve loved ponchos for years, and will always wear what I love regardless of whether or not it’s trendy — but I’m pretty excited that ponchos are everywhere this fall! They’re such a statement piece, and a great way to add interest, depth and texture to your fall wardrobe. The one I’m wearing is actually from Garage Clothing (yeah that’s right… I was shocked too!) — it’s so cozy and luxurious feeling. I absolutely love fall makeup, and transitioning into darker, richer shades. Fall colours are my favourite to wear! During September I rediscovered my favourite powder eyeshadows from Makeup Geek (who makes the best quality eyeshadows at any price point, but these just happen to be $6 each!). I picked up some new goodies from e.l.f. Cosmetics (another inexpensive brand with awesome products) and found a holy grail setting powder and some beautiful berry-toned blushes. I also found the perfect daytime berry lip. Let’s chat about fall beauty products!

BEST IN BEAUTY | JULY 2015

July was the month of lip products! I wore lots of different lip colours last month and generally kept things light on the eyes — one of my favourite summer looks is a bright lip with a simple eye and winger liner. Most of my favourite products last month were things that I’ve loved for a long time and rediscovered, or products I’ve rotated in for the summer because they contain SPF (try to get your SPF in wherever you can, ladies!).

I also stumbled on a couple of new products — one extremely beautiful highlighter, and a limited edition edition lipstick exclusively for Canadians that smells and tastes like Maple syrup! Cozy up with me on this stormy night in Calgary and let’s chat beauty!

I’m often asked what to wear to specific events, or to style people for special occasions — so I thought it would be fun to start a WHAT TO WEAR series here on JustineCelina, dedicated to these situations! Hey guys! Today I’m sharing April’s most loved beauty products. Overall, I was into cooler tones (which is strange for me!). Since I have warm colouring and green eyes, I tend to favour warm colours on both the eyes and lips — last month I gravitated towards purples and cooler neutrals overall. I also played around with lots of different eye looks, eyeliner and eyeshadow. Let’s chat beauty!
