Need a fresh playlist for the New Year? My December Soundtrack is full of so many new musical discoveries! I was in a a pretty chill, happy mood last month — this is great music to help you work, think and create. Some highlights include MØ‘s Kamikaze, Mount Dreams‘s Home, and Jaakko Eino Kalevi‘s Everything Nice. Stream this 60 minute soundtrack wherever you are, right from this post!

My November Soundtrack is an easy going playlist with upbeat, feel good vibes. I still have the Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram) album on heavy rotation, and I’ve discovered so many new artists this month! A few standout tracks include Open Your Eyes by School of Seven Bells, DIIV‘s Dopamine and Oh Cecilia by Born Ruffians (which apparently didn’t make the cut on their last album!). There are also a couple of new tracks from some of my favourite artists — ODESZA, Beach House and Toro y Moi. Check it out if you’re in need of some fresh tunes (you can stream it live right from this post)!
My October Soundtrack is a pretty eclectic mix! I’ve discovered a ton of new music this month from all different genres. One standout is the debut album from Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram) — it’s some of the best hip-hip I’ve heard in awhile. Another favourite is the hauntingly simple track Downtown by Majical Cloudz. And, I also stumbled on a really cool, stripped down (but upbeat) remix of Tom Petty’s Won’t Back Down. Overall this is a pretty chill, feel good playlist — perfect for the last days of fall.
My September Soundtrack is full of grungy, alternative vibes. I’ve been listening to a lot of Alt Nation and XMU on Sirius XM, so a few of my picks are tunes I’ve heard on those channels. One track that stands out this month is Kurt Vile’s Pretty Pimpin — he has such a unique sound and the lyrics are really quirky. I’ve also been into the new CHVRCHES album, Every Eye Open. This is an easy-going playlist, with lots of rock undertones — definitely a departure from last month’s soundtrack. I hope you like it!
I’ve been blasting this playlist non-stop this month! I’m currently at Kootenay Lake, British Columbia, soaking in some much needed R & R before Kelsey’s wedding on Saturday — it’s actually where the this month’s album cover was taken (last summer, on the back of a boat!). I’m so impressed with the new Beach House album Depression Cherry, and Sparks is my favourite track. Other loves include Parra for Cuva‘s Majoure, and Tame Impala‘s Currents. This is a fun, summery playlist; take it to the beach, the boat, or along on your other summer festivities!
July’s Soundtrack is a mellow, upbeat playlist full of summery vibes! I’ve mentioned before, but when I’m working I like to listen to instrumental stuff with minimal lyrics — you’ll find a lot of that here. The Indian Summer track from Jai Wolf has such a cool sound — like a mixture of Alt J and Odesza. The album cover photo was taken from the Upper Rundle room at the Banff Springs Hotel, where we enjoyed high tea earlier this month for Kelsey’s stagette.
A fresh playlist, just in time for the weekend! My June Soundtrack is full of happy summer tunes. I’m particularly excited about the Matt Simons track — it has a bit of a reggae-ish, Bedouin Soundclash vibe. And I love the feeling of the Real Estate track, it just feels like summer. The photo for this album cover was taken at the Glenmore Reservoir — we went one Sunday to relax for a little while (it was a beautiful day, but the water was freezing)!
