This New Year's Eve we're staying in for the first time in 7 years — and it feels just right. After cancelling our annual mountain getaway, I'm feeling very grateful to be cozied up at home tonight as we bid adieu to 2021! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This past year was the most transformative of my life as I focused on living in alignment and truly honouring what that meant for me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I prioritized my (mental and physical) health, wellness and peace unapologetically. I continued to explore personal development, did a lot of inner work, learned, grew and created authentically while inviting in ease and rest without guilt. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A return to simplicity was what my heart called for — and it was incredibly cathartic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2021's lessons afforded me perspective to focus on what's truly important. I will always cherish this liminal space — a much needed pause for reflection and healing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I have some big plans for 2022 to reflect my growth that I’m excited to realize. With that said, I've decided to take an intentional break from this space to redirect my energy to life, business and goals off of social. I can't wait to share what I've been up to when I return! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We've spent so much time enjoying the festive touches in our living room since foraging our very first Christmas tree in late November. This charming little guy is a 6' Red Spruce — and I love the character he brings to our Living Room! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We went warm, wild and natural with this year's holiday decor and I absolutely adore the way it came together. As usual, it features a mixture of high, low, old, new and vintage — including foraged greenery from Alberta's Rocky Mountains, and homemade dried orange slices. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today I captured the final bits of our 2021 holiday decor — which is my favourite of all our years in this home (I think I say this every year!). It incorporates so many thoughtful, handmade and foraged touches — including Christmas trees hailing from Kananaskis Country (see that little cutie behind me?!) which we acquired as part of a new family tradition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
