Ingredients

  • 3 limes
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1/2 a jalapeño (or more if you like it hot!)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp agave nectar
  • Freshly cracked sea salt or pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 oz Reposado or good gold tequila for each glass
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Start with chilled produce. Chop all ingredients into 1" pieces and add them one at a time to your Hurom Slow Juicer (or similar), starting with an ingredient that isn't as juicy (like jalapeño), and alternating with an ingredient that makes lots of juice (like cucumber). This will ensure that the juicy ingredients flush the not-so-juicy ingredients through the juicer and you'll get more of them in your cup!
  2. Once you've finished juicing your fruits and veggies, transfer your juice to a martini shaker, and add a few ice cubes and 2 tbsp honey or agave nectar (you many need to do this in batches depending on the size of your shaker). Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. Rim cocktail glasses with salt. First, squeeze a thin layer of lime juice onto a small saucer. Then, crack salt onto another small saucer. Turn cocktail glasses upside down, first dipping the rim into the lime juice to coat it. Then, coat the rim in salt. The citrus base is what makes the salt stick!
  4. Add as much ice as you like to each glass.
  5. Pour a shot of tequila over top.
  6. Fill glasses with the juice mixture and stir.
  7. Garnish with a slice of cucumber, jalapeño, or a few colourful peppers, and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This is also very delicious as a virgin cocktail!
