VANCOUVER TRAVEL GUIDE

I spent a few days in the Vancouver area last month — and today I’ve partnered with American Tourister to share my first ever TRAVEL GUIDE here at JustineCelina! I’ve traveled with Samsonite luggage for many years, so when their sister brand American Tourister got in touch last month, I jumped at the opportunity to test drive a piece of luggage from the range. This fun iLite Max 25″ Spinner was the perfect travel companion on this whirlwind trip to the west coast!

Anytime I visit a new destination, I’m asked for my list of must sees and do’s from the area and have always compiled a list of recommendations — ready to send out for anyone who requests one. Since I’m asked for these recommendations often, in 2017 I’ll be sharing this type of content here at JustineCelina, embracing the opportunity to make my TRAVEL GUIDES more comprehensive and easily accessible. See the Vancouver area through my eyes today as I share packing tips and trip highlights — including my favourite neighborhoods, restaurants, coffee shops, wine and spirit recommendations, shopping hotspots, off the beaten path locales, quirky boutiques and a day trip to the island (I’m even taking you along to a cookbook launch!). JANUARY 2017 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Well hello, beautiful people! Today I’m sharing my January 2017 Beauty Favourites — and it’s been almost a month since my last beauty post! You may have read that I’ve been doing some major purging and reorganizing in preparation for the SPACE REFRESH I have planned this year. This also included a complete overhaul of my makeup collection! I spent a large part of January sorting, donating and making an effort to rediscover forgotten products while exploring the holiday gift sets I purchased back in December (I purchased most of them for gifting, but kept a few items for myself!). There are a lot of minis in today’s post!

This January, it was back to basics in the beauty department. I spent a lot of time planning for 2017 (including lots of exciting new beauty content that I can’t wait to share!) and working behind the scenes, so overall it was a pretty minimal month for me makeup wise and my favourites definitely reflect that. It’s also been insanely dry here in Calgary this winter (YYC gals, I know you feel me!), so I was drawn to lightweight, slightly hydrating and more natural products to help combat winter skin. I also had a chance to explore the mini fragrance kits I picked up December (I’ve been wearing a few new fragrances each week and it’s been so much fun!) so I have a couple of new fragrance favourites as well. A COZY GIRLS NIGHT IN

Maybe I’m just getting older, but — wait, who am I kidding? Girls nights in are way better than girls nights out, am I right?! Give me a room full of my closest friends, some great wine and snacks, gorgeous blooms, cozy threads (and comfy pants!), good reads and a toasty fire — I’ll take that over going out any day! To celebrate the joy of staying in, Rebecca Dawn Design and I teamed this month up to share some inspiration for A Cozy Girls Night In — a snapshot of everything home decor, entertaining, flower and casual style we’re loving this autumn!

With everyone leading such busy lives, there’s truly nothing I cherish more than spending quality time with family and friends. AUTUMN / WINTER 2016 FRAGRANCE EDIT

My love of fragrance extends as far back as early childhood. I’m sure most of us remember watching our mothers perched at their vanities, applying perfume — the finishing touch that completed their transformation. I was always enthralled by that process, even as a young girl. Fragrance has always had a special allure for me and over the years I’ve collected quite a few favourites. In my eyes, there’s nothing more feminine or sophisticated than a captivating scent. MY 1ST BLOGIVERSARY + 10 THINGS I LEARNED IN MY FIRST YEAR OF BLOGGING

Imagine a place where you could go to totally unleash your creativity. That’s what this blog has been for me for almost exactly 1 year. JustineCelina is my ultimate creative outlet and my happy place. I started my blog 1 year ago with an iPhone and an idea — and never could have imagined that it would grow and evolve into what it is today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single one of you reading this post. Your support in the largest creative endeavor of my life truly means the world to me!

I wasn’t going to make it a big deal, but I decided to throw JustineCelina a birthday party to celebrate this milestone! Today’s post is a very special 1st Blogiversary Party and collaborative shoot that I’ve invited some of Calgary’s very best makers, artists and creative professionals to be a part of — including Milton Photography, Rebecca Dawn Design, and Crave Cookies & Cupcakes. I’m also sharing ten things I learned during my first year of blogging.
